Yes—chiropractic care is widely recognized as a safe, non-invasive, and drug-free approach to health and healing. Chiropractors are highly trained professionals who use gentle, specific adjustments tailored to each individual’s needs, age, and condition.
As with any type of healthcare, there can be mild, temporary side effects such as slight soreness or fatigue after an adjustment—similar to what you might feel after a workout. Serious side effects are extremely rare.
At Cultivate Chiropractic, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We take the time to understand your unique health history and goals to ensure the care you receive is both safe and effective.

Patients have seen positive changes in areas like:
• Headaches and migraines
• Sciatica and joint pain
• Digestive issues like constipation
• Sleep problems
• Anxiety and stress
• Chronic ear infections in children
• Allergies, asthma, and moreEvery body is different, so if you’re curious whether chiropractic care might help with something you or a loved one are experiencing, we’d be happy to chat! Give us a call or send us an email—we’re here to help.

The frequency of adjustments really depends on your unique body, health goals, and the reason you're seeking care. Some people come in to relieve specific symptoms, while others choose regular care to support long-term wellness and prevent issues before they start.
At your first visit, we’ll do an assessment to understand what’s going on and create a care plan tailored specifically to you. In the beginning, adjustments might be more frequent to address acute concerns, and then taper off as your body starts to stabilize and hold those changes.
Just like eating well or exercising, consistency is key—but how often you come in is always up to you. We're here to support you wherever you are on your health journey.

That popping or cracking sound you sometimes hear during an adjustment is completely normal—and not your bones cracking! It’s called a joint cavitation, and it happens when gas bubbles (mostly nitrogen and carbon dioxide) are released from the fluid within your joints as they move. It’s similar to the sound you hear when you crack your knuckles.
It’s a natural effect of the pressure change in the joint, and not necessary for an adjustment to be effective. In fact, some gentle techniques don’t produce any sound at all but still deliver powerful results.
If the sound makes you nervous, let us know! We have a variety of adjusting styles to make sure you feel completely comfortable.

The Webster Technique is a gentle, specific chiropractic method used to help balance the pelvis, reduce tension in surrounding muscles and ligaments, and support optimal nervous system function—especially during pregnancy.
It’s commonly used to create more space and alignment in the pelvis, which may help with baby positioning and contribute to a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. While the technique doesn’t “turn” the baby, it removes stress and imbalance in the mother’s pelvis that may be affecting the baby’s ability to move into the ideal position.
Dr. Kathryn is certified in the Webster Technique and loves using it to support expecting moms throughout their pregnancy journey. It’s safe, effective, and tailored specifically to your changing body.

Chiropractic care can be beneficial at any stage of pregnancy—whether you're in the early weeks or nearing your due date. Many women begin care as soon as they find out they’re pregnant to help their body adapt to the physical and hormonal changes right from the start.
Here’s a general idea of how care might look:
First trimester: Helps support hormonal changes, reduce nausea, and lay the foundation for a healthy pregnancy.
Second trimester: As your belly grows and posture shifts, adjustments can help relieve pressure on the spine and pelvis.
Third trimester: Focus shifts to pelvic alignment, comfort, and optimal baby positioning to help prepare for labor and delivery.
Regular chiropractic check-ins throughout pregnancy can help you feel more balanced, reduce discomfort, and support your body’s natural ability to adapt and thrive.

Baby adjustments are incredibly gentle and nothing like what you might imagine from adult chiropractic care. In fact, the amount of pressure used is about the same as you'd use to check the ripeness of a tomato or press on your eyelid—soft, subtle, and safe.
We use specific techniques designed just for infants. Many babies find the experience relaxing and some even sleep through the adjustment!
Chiropractic care for babies focuses on supporting their nervous system, helping with things like digestion, sleep, latch, head shape, colic, and overall development.
If you’re curious or have questions, we’re always happy to talk through what care could look like for your little one—and you’ll always stay close and involved during every step of their visit.

Birth is a big event—not just emotionally, but physically too! Even in the smoothest deliveries, a baby’s neck and spine can experience a lot of pressure as they move through the birth canal. In some cases, interventions like C-sections, forceps, or vacuum assistance can add even more stress to their tiny bodies.
Gentle chiropractic adjustments help relieve tension and restore balance to the spine and nervous system. When the nervous system is functioning well, babies can better eat, sleep, digest, and grow.
Many parents bring their babies in for care to support:
• Latching or nursing issues
• Colic or excessive crying
• Gas or constipation
• Torticollis or flat spots
• Sleep struggles
• General wellness and developmentChiropractic care doesn’t treat specific conditions—it helps create an environment where your baby’s body can function and thrive naturally.
If you’re unsure whether it’s right for your little one, we’re always happy to chat and answer any questions you have!
